Research Interests

The research group that I belong to primarily focuses on non-breeding periods in the annual cycle of sea ducks.  I am studying the remigial molting and fall staging ecology of Barrow's Goldeneyes in northwestern Alberta.  Specifically, I am interested in the strategies birds use to reduce the risks associated with simultaneous remigial molt and the potential for the postbreeding stage to influence population dynamics.
